In honour of his epic 21-point beatdown of the OKC flogs last night, today’s we celebrate the time, ONE YEAR AGO TODAY, that Joseph H. Ingles — aka the Jingling One, aka Down Under Durant, aka Jingling Joe, aka Slow Mo Joe, aka Toby from the Office, aka Dr. Joseph H Ingles: Triplologist — was playing in his first NBA playoffs with the Utah Jazz and nearly had his first playoff triple double… against the mongrels who cut him from the NBA, Doc Rivers and the Los Angeles Clippers!
That’s right, a year ago today Joe Ingles, the best thing to come out of Adelaide since Coopers, Craig Bradley and the M1 to Melbourne, went bloody HAM on Doc’s Clippers like my mate Pete the Shagger after a couple of green demons down the Elwood RSL!
Getting some revenge against the fella who cut him in order to give a roster spot to that joker Hedo Turkoglu, and proving why he’s the reason they now call the Coward Kevin Durant ‘the American Joe Ingles’, Jingler had an efficient 8 points on 3-of-6 shooting from the floor, including his typically deadeye long-range form of 2-for-4 from 3.
BUT! Down Under Durant isn’t just some bloke who looks like a tradie who gets halfway through a brick wall and then you don’t see for another 2 months, he also had himself a record-setting night… as Slow Mo Joe handed out more stunners than bloody Kostya Tszyu on his way to 11 assists like a 6’-9” Aussie John Stockton!!
Jingler also added 6 rebounds that surprised everyone because they thought that somehow a substitute teacher had wandered onto the court, and added two steals so devious, the bugger’s now probably gonna get offered a starring role in ‘Fast & Furious 9’ and become best mates with Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson!
8/11/6… and I reckon he would’ve had a triple-dub if that useless spud Joe Johnson hadn’t stolen his rebounds and shot 17 bloody times.
Oh well. Now Down Under Durant is out there leading the Jazz to crucial wins over the Thunder and showing Paul ‘Playoff P’ George who the real bitch-ass is.
