– missing a flight to a game… and chartering a private plane instead: he rolled into the game wearing a mink coat, with a woman on each arm and a bag of Maccas… then scored 43 points and had 19 rebounds after being benched for the 1st quarter

Assured! C’mon mate! Bad News Barnes was a legend’s legend – there’s about 50 more stories about him that didn’t even make this post. Big fella took no crap, was a bad MF’er (reportedly carrying two guns at all times), was an ABA superstar, and thanks to his rampant drug use out of the NBA by 27. He never got a handle on his drug problems, as he died a couple of years back, which is a huge damn shame. Vale Bad News.
