#NBA #Straya Never Forget!

In honour of tonight’s All-Star skills challenge, dunk comp and 3-point shootout… WHY NOT GET THE MAN WHO CAN DO IT ALL HIMSELF: THE GREY MAMBA!

That’s right, strap on your K-Mart special edition Dunlop Gaze1s, because 19 years ago today, Aussie ledge Andrew ‘Gazey’ Gaze was showing off his legendary moves in his fourth game for the San Antonio Spurs, going up against fellow ‘Strayan ledge Luc Longley and his Phoenix Suns!

Sure Air Gazey only played 5 minutes and missed both of the 3-pointers he took, but he DID register a single assist more picturesque than Bateman’s Bay. In retrospect, the reason the Spurs lost a nailbiter is probably because an inexperienced coach Pop didn’t play the Grey Mamba enough.

BUT! What there’s no disputing is that despite folks thinking that he only ever dunked with the help of a stepladder, there’s ample proof, given the chance, that Air Gazey would’ve easily won the triple crown of the dunk comp, skills challenge AND the 3-point shootout!

Just look at him go! He’s got more legs than Makybe Diva! Gazey got more air up there than bloody Kevin Bacon in 1994’s seminal ‘The Air Up There’!

Add those undisputable hops to his dead-eye 3-point stroke and remarkable playmaking skills, you’d be bloody dreamin’ if you think Air Gazey wouldn’t have had the requisite skillset to take home the fabled All-Star Triple Crown.

Anyway. So while you’re watching today’s All-Star festivities, raise one up for the Grey Mamba himself, Air Gazey… a deadset Aussie ledge who, thanks to the NBA’s long history of Anti-Strayan bias, never got his proper shot at NBA All-Star immortality.
